The Gilgit-Baltistan Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (GBPPRA) intends to implement an e-Procurement system in Gilgit-Baltistan. At present, procurement advertisements are published electronically by authorized system users, while tender proposals are received through designated email addresses. In order to align the existing GBPPRA website with the technical requirements of the proposed e-Procurement system, the GB-PPRA intends to upgrade and enhance the current platform by incorporating functionalities for integration and exchange of procurement-related information with other digital portals and information management systems. The upgraded system shall facilitate enhanced digital service delivery through seamless exchange of information with other Government systems, improved search capabilities and user interface, collection and management of additional information relating to contractors, firms, and companies participating in Government procurements and execution of public works in Gilgit-Baltistan, and publication of procurement-related information for easy access by the general public, vendors, and other stakeholders.
